Type: Argentina, Prov. Córdoba, septentrionali-occidentaliter urbis Capilla del Monte, circa San Marcos Sierra, 960 m s. m., leg.: Ernst Zecher EZ 1031, 7. Novembro 1990, CORD (holotypous).
Etymologie: The new kind is named after Ilse Zecher (1940-2015), the wife of the director of the collection of cacti and succulents Schönbrunn in Vienna and early field searcher of many years.

Abstract: A so far unknown Gymnocalycium population, which was found halfway up Cerro Uritorco, Prov. Córdoba, is described as Gymnocalycium kulhanekii Papsch. The features for distinguishing it from those Gymnocalycium species growing on top of and close to Cerro Uritorco are discussed.
Type: Argentina, Prov. Córdoba, Cerro Uritorco, 1,430 m above sea level; leg. Papsch WP 04-442/859, Nov. 2004 (CORD, holo; TO, iso). The exact coordinates of the locality are deposited with the holotype.
Locality: Prov. Córdoba, Dept. Punilla, Capilla del Monte, Cerro Uritorco, in the section Quebrada del Viento at an altitude of 1,400-1,450 m, in a very restricted area of not too steep grassland, which is interspersed with rocks and rubbles or peels.

Gymnocalycium bruchii subsp. deminii Gapon & Neuhuber is considered in this article as a new subspecies. A new taxon is described from Cerro Uritorco, the highest (1979 m) mountain of the Sierra Chica in the Argentine Province of Cόrdoba. The first author found these plants in November of 2011 together with Dmitry Demin at an altitude of 1600 m above sea level.
Diagnosis: differs from typical subspecies G. bruchii ssp. bruchii by a smaller stem, lower number (8÷12 versus 13÷17) of radial spines and color of the flowers (pale yellow). It grows on Cerro Uritorco near Capilla del Monte at a higher altitude, about 1600÷1650 m.

Abstract: The new species Gymnocalycium pinalii Meregalli & Kulhánek is described. A differential diagnosis in comparison with several other species of subgenus Gymnocalycium is given and remarks on the habitat colonized and conservation status are provided.
